[News] Japanese Producer wants, “SNSD-WG-Kara” 090310

March 11, 2009

Tsunku, one the most prestigious producers in Japan, has been getting a lot of attention for his interest in Wonder Girls, SNSD, and Kara.

Tsunku had a news conference on the ninth at the Intercontinental Hotel Allegro Hall about the first ever Korea-Japan joint audition project called “Meet Tokyo Girl”.

Tsunku who is the producer for the whole Hello Project artists, including Morning Musume, has been praised highly for his producing ability, thus giving him the authority for the final decision of this audition. Leaders of top Japanese girl groups, Saki Shimizu from Berryz Kobo, and Maimi Yajima from C_ute, also attended the news conference with Tsunku.

On this day, Tsunku said, “I think that the level of Korean music industry is very high. I was not able to access the Korean Music industry easily before. I just recently got familiar with the Korean Industry as the exchange of the entertainment goods is getting more settled in.”

He also added, “I realized that if I don’t try harder, than the Korean music Industry will take over the Japanese music industry. I want to bring Wonder Girls, SNSD, and Kara into my own company, as well as Kangta from H.O.T.”

“Meet Tokyo Girl” is a joint project between Up-Front Entertainment and Mnet Media, in which they will choose a Korean member through open auditions. Starting from the coming 10th to the 19th of April, Tsunku will be choosing the 10 finalists. After the audition, these 10 members will go through an intense training for 8 weeks, and at the end, only one will be chosen to become a trainee for Hello Project. The winner will then go to Japan, and take all the steps that a normal Japanese entertainer would take to debut in Japan.

great tsunku…. i been a fan of his stuff for years, tsunku has a mixing girl=group problem he cant seem to stop. his made so many mini groups in the jap industry it lost all meaning. his so called “Morning Musume” have lost the trend, they went super high and then fell really hard to the ground… since i discovered/notice the way his industry works, i’m an ex-fan now but now hearing this i fear for the k-girl groups DONT FALL IN HIS HANDS!!!

“tsunku has a mixing girl=group problem he cant seem to stop.” hmmm? explain yourself please? i dont know this Tsunku so now im concerned…. mini groups, sub-groups like SUJU?

im getting worried although i doubt itll happen because JYPE is looking in another direction, JYPe i doubt would want to be like SMe and hand of their brightest star, to a foreign company plus imagine all the money theyll be losing rebuilding a career in Japan X| let’s just hope for the best in the future…..

Tsunku used to be one the group singer in Japan.
    1. He can’t sing (pretty bad), there are some good songs but none of them are because of the good voice. <-back in late 90’s
    2. He is famous for creating Audition TV show, and created Group called “morning musume” from of it.
    3. I hated all of morning musume’s songs and dance. Way too cheezy, not even tip close to kpop skills. If anything, they want to bring koreans so that they can steal the talents. once they do, Tsunku will throw Korean people out, for sure.
    4. From the experience, in general, you need to be aware that Japanese people wears mask (all time). That just how they are. Their excuses will be “pride” “don’t need to show your true feeling”… whatever their excuses are, untrust-worthy is UNTRUST-WORTHY!

Would be better if same production as where such as Utada, Yuzu, Dragon ash are at.

Why would you want your people to be making money for Japan???
This just sounds like doing a volunteer for Japan, and they sure don’t need one.
